The-history-of-e-commerce

The Zippy-cart has published that nice info-graphic, that summarize the history of e-commerce, and where it's heading.

It's nice and interesting to see that business changes in this clear and easy way. Of course it's only an "eagle eye view", and it's missing a lot of details, and points that were along the way- but still it'll give anyone who wants to understand how the e-commerce business evaluated a good place to start.

As you can see all the details appear in the image below, but here are some of the major points in it:

The years that seems to make the biggest progress are 1995-1998 where the dot-com bubble started, and major players such as Amazon, Ebay,Craigslist, Google and more started to play.

Dell became in 1997 to the first company that made 1M dollars in online sales- very impressive achievement in those days.

In 2007 US broadband users reached 200 million- amount that made the online bushiness become much more exciting, and relevant to companies.

The future looks promising and the e-commerce bushiness still got a huge potential.
The "hottest" future stuff are going to be according to that article: "mobile commerce", "Group buying", "Social commerce", and "private sales", but we can never know how this story will end- maybe there are other fields in that market we are don't even know yet...
