A new study by Chicago-based strategy consultant The E-Tailing Group says that online shoppers would probably prefer to see a comparative pricing — just like shopping.com, Deal time, Shopzilla etc right on the sites where they buy, rather than going to a third-party site.
Again the survey approved users want comparison. Users has leaned that they shop smartly, they want to check they do get the best prices on the market, and see what all the competitors has to offer. The users has are even asking the own sites to display a comparison to their price.
The feature’s official jargon term is “Onsite Comparative Pricing,” or OCP.
Here are some stats that sell the idea:
• 78% would be likely to return to a retailer that shows competitors’ prices on their website.
• 52% of consumers would find competitive prices on a retailer’s site to be credible.
• 53% of consumers would no longer feel compelled to comparison shop elsewhere.
PriceGong does all that for our users- without having them running around from one site to another- we just give you all the comparison you need, with a loyal and great service.
